Ayers House
Ok, full disclosure; this one is my own house. A few years back, my wife and I decided that we needed a smaller, one floor house to spend our later years in. We had an Architect friend design us one that fit us to a tee. We bought 3 acres out on Maury Island and got to work. While I did get a number of my subcontractors involved, a lot of the work was done by me and my crew.
We wanted a modern home with a rustic feel, and this one has both. It has concrete, heated floors throughout, Fir ceilings, semi-custom cabinets, black composite windows, and aged Yellow Cedar siding. We put tile in both baths and behind the range, and installed stainless appliances. We moved in in January of 2020, just in time to be quarantined. It was the perfect place to be and we love it.
